The state budget of Ukraine received another tranche of grant funds from the United States in the amount of $1.25 billion, the Ministry of Finance announced on Friday, April 28.

“Funding provided through the World Bank Trust Fund under the fourth additional funding for the Project Public Expenditure Support for Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine (PEACE)said the message.
Since the start of the Russian invasion, Ukraine has received approximately $16.7 billion in grants from the United States.
“Cooperation with the United States and the World Bank team during the war allows the government of Ukraine to fully finance the highest priority social expenditures. At the same time, aid in the form of grants does not increase of the debt burden and contributing to the stabilization of the financial system,” said Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.
Funds from the United States will be used to provide pension payments, certain state social assistance programs (IDP payments), health care worker salaries and payments to Emergency Service employees of the State.
Recall that this week Ukraine received the third tranche in the amount of 1.5 billion euros from the EU. These funds are provided on unprecedented favorable terms.
