On April 17-21, the National Bank of Ukraine sold more than $560 million from its reserves. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Saturday, April 22.
Thus, the NBU increased the sale of foreign currency by 2.3 times compared to last week, when it sold $242.92 million.
Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has bought $62.30 million in the interbank market and sold $8,172.73 million. The negative balance of interventions reached $8,110.43 million.
Note that this week the Hryvnia continues to fall in price on the cash market. On Friday alone it slipped 10 kopecks against the dollar and 20 kopecks against the euro.
At the same time, following the March results, the National Bank sold the lowest amount of foreign currency in four months.
