American electric car maker Tesla has introduced another wave of price cuts for its Model 3 and Model Y cars, Electrek reports.
The new auto discounts are the second this month, pushing the price of electric cars below $40,000.
It is noted that after a steady and gradual increase in the price of electric vehicles over the past two years, Tesla has started to cut prices in 2023 to support demand.
Tesla’s cheapest car, the Model 3 Standard Range RWD, drops from $41,990 to $39,990.
Prices of the entire Model Y line have dropped significantly. The price of each model dropped by $3,000 overnight.
The Model Y AWD drops from $49,990 to $46,990, the Model Y Long Range from $52,990 to $49,990, and the Model Y Performance from $56,990 to $53,990.
It will be remembered that in the first quarter of 2023, Tesla increased the supply of electric vehicles by 4% compared to the previous three months – to a record of 422,875 in the history of the company.
