Hryvnia broke the negative trend of the last five days and slightly strengthened in the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, April 17.
So, today the dollar exchange rate in exchange offices for sale fell by 5 kopecks – to 38.10 Hryvnia per dollar. The euro fell by 15 kopecks to 41.50 hryvnia per euro.
The average exchange rate of one cash dollar in Ukraine is:

purchase – 37.50 UAH (37.55 – April 17)

sale – UAH 38.10 (April 38.15 – April 17) per dollar.
The average exchange rate of a cash euro is:

purchase – UAH 40.70 (UAH 40.85 – April 17),

sale – UAH 41.50 (41.65 – April 17) per euro.
The official fixed rate of the NBU is UAH 36.5686 per dollar (effective from July 21, 2022). At the same time, on April 18, the euro exchange rate significantly strengthened and is now at 40.1432 hryvnia per euro (-0.2742 hryvnia).
Remember, following the results of March, Ukrainians reduced the purchase of foreign currency in banks. Demand for non-cash money is also fragmented.
It was also reported that following the March results, the NBU sold the lowest currency in four months.
