The largest oil company SLB is on the list of war sponsors

The National Corruption Prevention Agency has listed the world’s largest oil company, SLB (formerly Schlumberger), headquartered in the US, as an international sponsor of the war. This was announced on April 7 by the NAPC press service.

It was noted that SLB was mobilizing its employees in Russia for the war against Ukraine. In addition, the company continues to cooperate with Russian oil and gas giants such as Gazprom, Rosneft and Lukoil.

“From May to October 2022 alone, SLB supplied more than 900 shipments of its goods to Russian businesses. On its own website, the company openly claims that it brought over $4.5 billion in taxes to the budget of the terrorist state ,” the report said.

SLB also uses a network of subsidiaries in Russia to evade international sanctions.

Since the 2000s, US authorities have fined the company three times for violating national sanctions laws by extending supplies to Iran, Sudan and Russia.

“This is not without the involvement of Russia’s mobilization. Last fall, more than nine thousand employees of SLB in Russia received calls at the workplace. The company prohibits employees from working remotely so that they do not avoid mobilization,” NAPC said.

SLB expanded its business in Russia after the massive invasion of Ukraine. The company signed new contracts for the maintenance and supply of equipment after the departure of competitors from the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the NAPC included the Austrian banking group Raiffeisen Bank International in the list of international sponsors of the war for the continuation of work in Russia and for the official recognition of the so-called “LDNR”.

As reported, 24,000 people have been added to the list of sponsors and those involved in the war released by Russia. In Ukraine, because of the operation of this base, sanctions were imposed on the largest number of people in the history of the world.
