Last month, 51% of exports were provided by the grain corridor, the rest were provided by alternative export routes.
According to the results of March, Ukraine exported 7.8 million tons of agricultural products, which is 12% more than in February and a record since the beginning of the war with Russia. This was announced on the eve of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB) association with reference to the data of the State Customs Service.
It is indicated that 51% of exports last month were carried out with the help of the grain corridor, the rest – through alternative export routes.
“However, it should be taken into account that not all products managed to physically cross the border,” experts added.
The structure of export of products of the agro-industrial complex looks like this:
-
grain crops – 5.7 million tons (maize – 67%, wheat – 29%, barley – 4%). Growth compared to last month: 10%;
-
oilseeds – 683.1 thousand tons (soybeans – 61%, sunflower seeds – 29% and rapeseed – 9%). Growth: 23%.
-
vegetable oils – 556.2 thousand tons (sunflower oil – 94%, soybean oil – 5%). Growth: 28%.
-
cake after extraction of vegetable oils – 454.7 thousand tons (sunflower – 83%, soybean – 17%). Growth: 10%.
It was noted that the important news about agricultural exports in March was the continuation of the grain corridor. His work gives hope to farmers to sell the remaining products of the 2022 harvest and receive funds to continue their economic activities, starting with spring sowing.
“At the moment, the main problem that remains is the large gap between the world price and the price on the Ukrainian market for the main agricultural crops. such as, which this year will be used to a minimum due to limited resources of farmers’ finances,” UCAB said.

Earlier it became known that the farmers improved the harvest forecasts in Ukraine for this year. Three factors contributed to this.
It was also reported that by 2023 the sown area in Ukraine will decrease by 7 million hectares – to 29 million hectares – and will change its structure.
