Ukrgasdobycha launched the most powerful gas well in the past two and a half years, producing more than 460,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day. This was announced by Naftogaz on Monday, April 3.
It is indicated that gas workers have drilled an exploratory well, discovering a new deposit of oil and gas in a depleted field.
“The success was made possible thanks to modern techniques for processing geological information, in particular, 3D seismic data, which made it possible to identify a previously unexplored deposit and determine the optimal point for drilling,” the report said.
Recall that in March Ukrgasdobycha launched a well producing 340,000 cubic meters of gas per day. Its depth is about six kilometers.
Earlier, Naftogaz announced a record speed of drilling gas wells. Gas producers are losing gas production rates in eastern Ukraine, but are systematically increasing them in the west.
