69% of Peruvians, or about seven out of ten, are looking for a new job while continuing to work for another company, according to a survey conducted by the Bumeran platform.
But what led them to this? The survey shows that 42% workers they are part of a “silent resignation” trend, doing the bare minimum to stay in a job and not waiting for development.
Added to this is the fact that almost 3 out of 10 employees do not feel any commitment to their work.
Among the reasons why workers feel they are giving up, feel undervalued as employees (32%) and do not feel motivated (22%).
In other cases, employees report not feeling comfortable with the organization’s values (14%), having a toxic work environment (13%), disliking their job (9%), feeling work tired (7%) and finally . . that it is just a job and should be given a lot of attention (3%).
Another point that exacerbates this situation is that almost half employees Respondents report that they usually start work earlier and stay after regular check-out hours.
“If something happens at work after hours, 76% evaluate whether it is urgent or not and decide when to do it depending on this, 15% do it regardless of the time, and 9% do it so leaves the next day,” adds Boomeran.
If it’s an emergency, 66% rate the situation and depending on that response and a message or email outside work time. But two out of 10 workers check it the next day.
In addition, it is indicated that five out of 10 Peruvians want to learn and develop in their current job, and 16% expect promotions and higher earnings.
