There has been a surplus in Ukraine’s energy system for the past month, no additional resources are needed.
Ukraine in March reduced the import of electricity, compared to the previous month, by 95% – up to 7,000 MWh, ExPro reports.
It was noted that almost 5.5 thousand MWh was supplied from Slovakia in March, and 1.5 thousand MWh from Moldova.
At the same time, compared to February 2023, the share of Slovakia in the structure of imports decreased from 96% to 77.6%. The largest volumes were delivered on March 11-12 and March 25-26.
“A sharp increase in imports from Slovakia on March 24-26 was provoked by a drop in prices on the Slovak market,” the report said.
In general, electricity imports in Ukraine remain at an insignificant level, since there was a surplus in the energy system in the last month, no additional resources are needed.
It was previously reported that Ukraine has reduced electricity consumption. The power system maintains an adequate power reserve.
In addition, it was found that Ukraine received the opportunity to receive emergency electricity assistance not only from neighboring countries, but also from other EU countries.
