The capacity of the new facilities will be enough to supply electricity to approximately 657 million homes a year.

By 2027, wind turbines with a total capacity of 680 GW will be installed in the world. This was announced by the Global Wind Energy Council.

It was noted that the need to ensure uninterrupted energy supplies and achieve climate goals will bring wind energy to a new stage of growth.

It is predicted that the capacity of the new facilities will be enough to provide electricity to approximately 657 million homes a year.

Last year, China was the leader in the development of wind energy. It is expected that this year this status will remain.

The installed capacity of wind farms in the world is expected to reach 1 TW in 2023, and 2 TW in 2030, provided that supply chains are strengthened and other issues are addressed.

Recall that Russian troops destroyed, damaged or occupied 90% of wind farms in Ukraine.
