Ukraine needs to export excess electricity in order to have additional funds to restore the energy system after attacks by Russian aggressors. This was stated in a message on the website of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Communal Services on Monday, March 27.
It is indicated that today a meeting of the subcommittee on energy security was held, where representatives of the people, the leadership of the Ministry of Energy, as well as representatives of Ukrainian energy companies gathered. Priority measures to solve the problems of the country’s fuel and energy complex were discussed.
“Without exception, all the participants of the round table agreed that as long as there is an excess (surplus) of electricity in the Ukrainian energy system, it is necessary to lift the ban on its export to the EU. the country’s income from the export of excess electricity is essential to restore the energy system after the enemy’s attack,” the message.
Separately, at the meeting, they discussed the need to extend the validity of the legislative norm regarding the use of part of the transmission system operator’s income from the sale of cross-sections for the export of electricity to pay debts to state. Enterprise Buyer Guarantee.
