Ukrainians are skeptical about the economic situation in the country: 55% of respondents assess it as “very bad” or “somewhat bad.” This is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center.
At the same time, only 4% assess the economic situation as “good” or “very good”, and 37% – as “not bad or good.”
In May 2021, eight months before the start of a full-scale war, 60% of those surveyed rated it as “very bad” or “somewhat bad” (and only 5% as “good” or “very good” and 32% as ” neither bad nor good”).
In September-October 2022, seven months after the start of the war, the proportion of citizens who rated it as “very bad” or “rather bad” increased (to 64.5%).

The survey was conducted from February 22 to March 1 among 2020 respondents over 18 years of age in all controlled regions of Ukraine.
Recall that the restoration of the Ukrainian economy after the war unleashed by Russia cost, according to the World Bank, $411 billion, but this amount does not include the loss of infrastructure, housing and business in the occupied territories.
