March 31 next year is the deadline for farmers to receive the Get Well Now Bonus, also known as Drought BonusThis is reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri).
This subsidy is provided farmers and ranchers whose crops or livestock were hit hard by a lack of rain in the Andean highlands in 2022.
Recall that in the second half of last year, planting and harvesting activities were postponed due to drought, resulting in losses of more than SGD 654 million.
How’s the bonus?
The Midagri subsidy is available to producers registered in Register of agricultural producers which have up to four hectares and up to 12 heads of cattle.
Farmers are paid a bonus of S$800 per hectare and alpaca growers are paid S$266 per head. alpaca.
