Ukraine should continue its efforts to stay on the path of reforming the electricity market and avoid backsliding, the report said.
Development of renewable energy should be among the main directions of Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. This is stated in the report of the Energy Community Secretariat.

“The country’s recovery must be implemented alongside the “green” agenda, including the large-scale implementation of measures in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency,” said the Energy Community.
They also believe that Ukraine should continue its efforts to stay on the path of reforming the electricity market and not allow the regression that has already been achieved in a full-scale invasion.
“This concerns the certification of the electricity transmission system operator and its financial capacity, the transposition of REMIT and excessive regulation with the help of JI and price restrictions,” said the Energy Community.
It is also reported that the state should introduce a functional market support scheme and ensure the financial stabilization of the SE Guaranteed Buyer.
Earlier it was reported that the Secretariat of the Energy Community organized a meeting in Kyiv to find ways to solve the problems of “green” energy in Ukraine, among which the main problem is the existing debt in the industry in the amount of 17.8 billion Hryvnia.
Recall that the Ministry of Energy called the benefits of “green” energy for Ukraine. The country is interested in projects for the development of wind and hydropower, as well as energy storage.
It was also noted that Ukraine could export 15 GW of clean energy and make a significant contribution to Europe’s post-war energy security system.
