Elon Musk has suspended the Twitter deal

In this news, Twitter Inc. shares. already lost more than 20% in price during initial trading on Friday.

American businessman Elon Musk has announced the suspension of the Twitter Inc. purchase agreement. He wrote about it in his account at Twitter on Friday, May 13th.

“The Twitter deal is on hold pending details proving that spam and fake accounts are actually less than 5%,” Musk tweeted.

In the news, Twitter’s stock lost more than 20% in pre-trading Friday. Tesla Inc. papers. increased by 4.6%.

It will be recalled that on April 25, Musk announced the purchase of Twitter Inc. for $ 44 billion. The deal represents a 38% premium to the price of the company’s shares at the close of trading on April 1st.

Musk also announced his intention to make the social network Twitter paid for individual organizations and government agencies.
