For the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky port, they offered the highest final rate since the resumption of privatization, SPF said.
Ukraine sold the commercial port of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky in the Odessa region for UAH 220 million. This was announced by the State Property Fund on Monday, March 13.
“The record value of the asset – for the Belgorod-Dniester port, they offered the highest final rate since the resumption of privatization,” the report said.
It is indicated that three traders on the Prozorro platform competed for this port. During the auction, the price increased 2.3 times. Also, the new owner must pay about UAH 150 million of debt.
SPF believes that attracting private investors for the Belgorod-Dniester port is an impetus for infrastructure development and job creation. In 2019-2021, the port is not profitable – in the range of UAH 23.5-28.5 million annually.
Recall that on March 3, the sale of the port of Belgorod-Dniester failed. Then it was offered at a starting price of 187 million hryvnia.
Earlier in January, the commercial sea port of Ust-Dunaysk in the Odessa region was sold for 201 million Hryvnia. This is the first case of port privatization in Ukraine. During the auction, its price increased three times.
