Maersk is launching a new weekly barge service from the port of Constanta to the port of Reni on two routes – via the Constanta/Danube Canal and the Black Sea.
The Danish transport and logistics company AP Moeller-Maersk AS has resumed the delivery of goods to Ukraine after a one-year break. This was reported by the company’s official website.
It is noted that Maersk is launching a new weekly barge service from the port of Constanta to the port of Reni on two routes – via the Constanta / Danube Canal and the Black Sea with a transit time of approximately 1.5 days.
It is also reported that the company’s system has been updated and is accepting bookings from customers with delivery at Reni port. Fulfillment of orders will be subject to operational capacity subject to proper documentation, including legal acceptance of Ukrainian legislation on the presence of risks in the region.
Last year, it was reported that the world’s largest carrier, Maersk, would completely leave Russia. The company began winding down its business in Russia in March last year.
