The average price of natural gas fell to its lowest level since the beginning of the calculation of the indicator in March 2022.
In February 2023, the actual cost of selling natural gas in Ukraine reached UAH 20,727.73 per 1,000 cubic meters without VAT, which is 12.6% lower than a month earlier. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy on Wednesday, March 8.
According to these data, the average price of gas fell to the lowest since the beginning of calculating the indicator in March last year.
It is also known that the average price of gas is calculated according to the formula for the purposes of the Tax Code of Ukraine on the collection of rent for the use of subsoil.
Earlier this week, gas prices in Europe fell to $450. This is the lowest level since July 2021.
