Searches are being conducted at a tobacco factory in the Lviv region

Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, together with detectives of the Territorial Administration of the BEB in the Lviv region, are conducting searches on the territory of one of the tobacco factories. This was reported by the press service of the bureau on Monday, March 6.

Company officials are suspected of manufacturing, storing tobacco products that are not covered by excise tax stamps.

At the same time, the Vinnikovskaya Tobacco Factory said that detectives from the territorial administration of the BEB in the Lviv region blocked the factory’s work.

“The budget is losing money again. But more details later,” the company said in a statement.

They recalled that two years ago, the tax police had already conducted mass searches with the seizure of equipment and machinery and blocked the sale of products throughout Ukraine and seized goods from all outlets .

“Two years ago, the state’s direct losses amounted to almost 2 billion hryvnias, which the budget did not receive due to factory closures and blocking of sales of finished legal products, as further investigation showed, ” said the company. .

Recall that earlier law enforcement officials blocked the channel for the illegal movement of cigarettes across state borders. The warehouse for temporary storage of goods is located in Odessa.

During the searches, more than 266,000 packs of foreign-made cigarettes without excise duty stamps were seized. The value of seized goods amounted to approximately UAH 11.6 million.
