The export of electricity to Europe can be resumed for a week, provided there is no shelling.
Ukraine is ready to export electricity to European countries again. Yuriy Boyko, a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo, announced this on the air of a telethon on Wednesday, March 1.
According to him, the export of Ukrainian electricity to Europe can continue next week, provided that the situation in the energy system does not worsen due to shelling from Russia.
“My opinion is that the export of electricity can happen within the next seven days. And the fact of the opening of exports can be tied to the decrease in domestic consumer consumption. First of all, talking about our Odessa region,” said Boyko.
He added that “good news” is expected in the Odessa region in the near future.
At the same time, as Boyko mentioned, if the situation with excess electricity changes in a negative direction, then the export decision will be reviewed.
It will be recalled that Ukrenergo said today that there has been no power shortage in the energy system for 18 days and is not yet predicted.
