A Volkswagen spokesman in Beijing confirmed that there is a “black list” that includes Chinese wholesalers of cars seen in trade with Russia.
Last year, German auto giant Volkswagen stopped selling new cars in Russia, and now it has banned VW factories in China from supplying cars to Russia. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication for Kerm.
It was mentioned that we are talking about the fight against the so-called “parallel import”, that is, the supply of cars to a sub-sanctioned country without the automaker’s consent.
A Volkswagen spokesman in Beijing confirmed that there is a “black list” that includes Chinese wholesalers of cars seen in trade with the Russian Federation, and that companies on the list will no longer be able to buy cars directly from in Chinese joint ventures.
“Of course, you can buy cars piece by piece from Chinese VW dealers and then ship them to Russia. However, the supply chains will be more complicated, the terms will be longer, and cars for the end customer will be more expensive,” said Ukraine for Kerm.

The publication reported that Volkswagen’s partners in China are concerns with state participation – FAW and SAIC.
“After all, Beijing does not officially support sanctions against the aggressor country. However, Volkswagen will be able to block direct agreements between Russian car dealerships and Chinese factories,” the report said.
It was previously reported that car production in Russia fell by 60% over the year.
