US electric car maker Tesla will have a plant in Mexico. This was announced in a press conference on Tuesday, February 28, by President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
“Yesterday we talked with Elon Musk. They will really invest in Mexico and open a plant in Monterrey, making some promises to fight the problem of water scarcity,” he said.
Tesla is expected to provide more details about its development plans in Mexico in the near future.
