The exchange rate of cash dollars and euros has fallen sharply in Ukrainian exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Tuesday, February 28.
Thus, the dollar exchange rate on sale decreased by 85 kopecks – to 39.00 hryvnia per dollar. And the euro exchange rate dropped by 50 kopecks – to 41.55 hryvnia per euro.
In the cash market, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine is:

purchase – UAH 38.50 (February 39.20 – 27)

sale – UAH 39.00 (39.85 – February 27) per dollar.
The average euro exchange rate is:

purchase – 40.40 UAH (41.05 – February 27),

sale – UAH 41.45 (41.95 – February 27) per euro.
The official fixed rate of the NBU is 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar (effective from July 21, 2022). At the same time, the euro exchange rate on February 28 was 38.611 hryvnia per euro (-0.0292 hryvnia).
Remember that last week the National Bank sold the lowest currency since the beginning of the year. At the same time, the regulator reduces the amount of money sold for three weeks in a row.
It was also found that more than $800 million in cash was brought into Ukraine in January. This is a record volume since the beginning of the war with Russia.
