The first factory for the production of civil aircraft will open in the United Arab Emirates, according to Gulf News.
It was noted that the agreement on the establishment of the plant in the amount of $ 180 million was concluded by the Dubai investment company Markab Capital with the Italian company Super Jet International.
In the initial phase, the plant will be able to produce 10 to 15 aircraft per year. Where the new facility will be built is not being reported.
There are two centers for the production of components for the assembly of aircraft in the UAE. One of them is owned by the aerospace company Strata, which has multi-billion dollar contracts with global aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus.
The other facility is owned by Sanad, which provides financing, leasing and maintenance services to the global aerospace, energy and industrial sectors.
