The company wants to make changes to the flight schedule, as it is experiencing staffing problems.
German airline Lufthansa has scheduled the cancellation of around 34,000 flights for the summer season due to staff shortages. This was announced on February 20 by the SchengenVisaInfo portal.
It is noted that the airline has already approved the summer schedule for 2023, however, considering the lack of staff and other problems, Lufthansa has adjusted the flights from Frankfurt and Munich.
The company has ensured that all passengers whose flights may be “under reduction” are notified in advance so that everyone can adjust their travel plans.
In addition to the staff shortage problem, Lufthansa is also suffering from strikes, the latest of which took place on February 17 and resulted in the cancellation of more than 1,300 flights.
It was previously reported that the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair was hiring Ukrainian pilots and flight attendants to quickly return to Ukraine immediately after the war.
