“We continue to work on increasing our own gas production. To do this, Ukrgasvydobycha started the 3D seismic survey in western Ukraine. Our specialists, together with the involved companies, explored an area of more than 1.5 thousand square kilometers,” he wrote.
According to Chernyshov, this will allow obtaining detailed geological models of hydrocarbon deposits at a depth of up to five kilometers.
“The planned studies are the largest of this technology conducted in Ukraine. It is important that they are conducted now even during the war,” the head of the NAC stressed.
Recall that in 2022, Ukrgasvydobycha drilled 47 new wells, which is almost no different from pre-war numbers.
It was also reported that gas producers are losing gas production rates in eastern Ukraine, but increasing them in the west.
