Valentine’s Day: How much do Peruvians spend on this date?

This year, Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14 amid a decline in consumption due to protests, meaning people will now think twice before giving gifts.

Leslie Passalaqua, President of the Retail Union of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, confirms that spent in shops and shopping centers on Love Day, less than 250 soles, which were spent on average last year.

For his part, the manager hotel society Peru’s Tibisai Monsalve points out that sales are expected to drop by 50% in 2022 despite offers and promotions, but how much can a couple spend on those dates?
