The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the removal of tax benefits in the gambling business. This was announced by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“On the 19th, my bill to eliminate tax benefits on the gambling business was finally signed by the president. The standard will come into force one day after publication,” Zheleznyak wrote.

The explanatory note states that during the benefit period, on August 31, 2022, eight gambling business entities moved to the simplified system, two of them, despite being active, do not pay a single tax, income tax , property tax in terms of land tax and VAT in 2022.
In the other six taxpayers, the average payment of taxes in 2022 after the transition to a simplified system fell by almost nine times.
