“During a working trip to the Odessa region, I reviewed the current state of Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port. SPF will soon announce the start of its privatization process,” wrote Dmitry Klimenkov, First Deputy Head of SPF. in Facebook.
According to him, during his visit to the facility, he met the business inventory, property registration, preparation of real estate items and technical documentation required for announcing the auction.
“Our task is to organize and hold the auction as efficiently and transparently as possible,” said Klimenkov.
According to the State Property Fund, from April 1, 2022, the Belgorod-Dniester port was used as a logistics center for ports on the Danube. He receives goods in cars and sends them in wagons.

In the six months since resuming operations, cargo handling at the port has increased 100 times compared to 2021. It has received more than 10,000 trucks and sent 4,000 wagons by rail, significantly lightening the load on the road infrastructure to the ports of Izmail and Reni. All products are shipped for export.
At the same time, before the war, the company was not profitable.
“The continuation of the full activity (of the port) is possible only by attracting significant investments, because the business is not profitable even before the full invasion, has wage debts to the budgets of various another level,” said SPF .
For 11 months of 2022, wage arrears decreased from UAH 20.1 million to UAH 11.8 million.
The port of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky is located on the western bank of the Dniester estuary and occupies 59 hectares for the main production area, the complex also includes the infrastructure of the Bugaz port (5 hectares), located on the territory of the village of Zatoka. The port was established in 1971. For loading, it has nine berths with a length of 1099 meters. The depth near the berths is 4.8 meters, the open storage areas are 157.7 thousand square meters, the area of covered warehouses is 17 thousand square meters.
Earlier in January, the commercial sea port of Ust-Dunaysk in the Odessa region was sold at an auction for 201 million Hryvnia. This is the first case of port privatization in Ukraine. During the auction, its price increased three times.
Recall that by 2022 Ukraine will increase grain exports along the Danube by 42 times. During 11 months of this year, three ports on the Danube handled 14.5 million tons of various cargoes. At the same time, the port of Ust-Dunaysk handled 662 thousand tons (+1314.7%).
