The biggest fashion night is back … again!

Here is the Met Gala for 2022, just eight months after seeing Kim Kardashian Her horrible total black look at the Met Gala 2021.

The annual fashion extravaganza at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is traditionally held on the first Monday of May. But thanks to COVID, last year’s fashion festival grew from spring to September. So, if you thought you were in the lore of a great pandemic, questioning your sense of time, don’t worry. ხარ You are beautiful.

But if you’re thinking about Monday night’s event, be prepared to get confused again.

This year’s theme is “America: An Anthology of Fashion”, which is a continuation of last year’s theme “America: The Vocabulary of Fashion”. People described the Dress code, like a white tie, with an emphasis on “golden glamor”.

The Golden Age was a turbulent period between the Civil War and the early 20th century, known for its barons, drama and theft glory. It was also the era of Social Inequality, in which a small number of the elite enjoyed huge wealth. Think: John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt and JP Morgan-and Bertha Russell (Carrie Cooney) and her amazing over-the-top hats on HBO’s “Goldilocks Age”.

There aren’t too many hats at the 2022 Met Gala, but lots of cap, jumpsuit and dramatic colors, as well as a double pirate (we’re looking at you, Sean Mendes and Lenny Kravitz) and whatever that is. Oh, the gold pastes (see: Cara Delevingne).

Kim Kardashian spoke to America’s past using the cult dress worn by Marilyn Monroe on the occasion of President John F. Kennedy’s “Happy Birthday”. The reality star didn’t make Monroe’s signature hairstyle, instead choosing a flexible face.

Unfortunately, both Zendaya AND Rihanna were true to their words and did not show up.

But, hey, many other celebs showed up perfectly, in not very glorious clothes and completely cheeky, so come down and have fun!
