From today, the discount voucher of the Energy Fund for Social Integration (FISE) will increase its value, the Ministry of Energy and Subsoil Use reported (Minem).
The voucher given to residents of the regions with the greatest poverty for the purchase of a 10 kg gas cylinder will increase from 32 to 43 s/month.
This S/43 discount extends to the most remote communities and with higher levels poverty, in Cusco, Ucayali, Piura and Tumbes. As stated in the resolution, the measure is applied in cases where natural gas fields are in operation.
In addition, in the province of La Convention (Cusco), namely in the districts of Megantoni and Quepasciato, the amount of the FISE voucher will increase to S/63.
“Our idea is to come with gas cheap to those distant places and that you need to benefit from gas production in these regions,” said Minem CEO Oscar Vera.
