The statement warned that only “essential personnel” would remain and called for “respect for the integrity of workers and civilians.”

Antapakai mining produces copper concentrate, which is transported almost 400 km. to the port of Matarani (Arequipa) for export.
In 2021, Antapaccay produced 110.4 thousand metric tons per day; i.e. 2.9% compared to 2020.
