The Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis draft laws on the introduction of an e-system for controlling the circulation of tobacco and alcohol products. This was announced today, January 12, by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
It was reported that bills No. 8286 and No. 8287 was adopted as the basis for the amendment, respectively, by 242 and 231 votes.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation will develop and implement this system.
The legislative initiative aims to counter the illegal production and circulation of tobacco and alcohol products and to strengthen control over the payment of taxes on excisable goods.
It is planned to introduce an electronic excise tax stamp and an electronic system for the circulation of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, liquids used in electronic cigarettes. It was mentioned that the launch of such a system will ensure the creation, modification, monitoring, sending, receiving, collecting, entering, accumulating, processing, using, considering, storing, protecting, accounting and providing information about goods that with an electronic score.
Recall that Zelensky approved the return of excise taxes on fuel.
