Britain to send war crime experts to help Ukraine

A team of British specialists will assist the Ukrainian authorities in collecting material for the International Criminal Court.

Britain will send a team of war crime experts to help Ukraine investigate war crimes in Russia. It was reported on April 29 at Twitter British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.

“Our experts will collect evidence of Russia’s atrocities, including rape and sexual violence. We will reveal the truth and hold Putin accountable,” the minister wrote.

According to the press service of the British Foreign Office, a team of specialists will assist the Ukrainian authorities in collecting evidence and prosecuting Russia’s war crimes. This will include sexual violence experts in the battle.

It was noted that they will arrive in Poland in early May and will meet with international partners, non-governmental organizations, refugees and representatives of the Ukrainian government to discuss the assistance they can provide.

Earlier, the United States said it had reliable information about the Russian Federation’s war crimes in the Donbas against captured Ukrainians, as well as about the facts of torture and sexual violence of civilians.
