On the night of December 19, Kyiv and the Kyiv region were attacked by Shahed loitering ammunition. Hits to critical infrastructure facilities were recorded, local authorities said.
“The capital withstood several waves of Iranian Shahed attacks. More than 20 enemy UAVs were recorded in the airspace of Kyiv. Air defense forces destroyed about 15. Unfortunately, there was a hit on a critical infrastructure facility. Emergency services eliminate the consequences . Information about victims and destruction is specified,” – noted the head of the Kyiv city military administration, Sergei Popko.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko pointed out that several explosions took place in the capital’s Solomensky and Shevchenkovsky districts. According to preliminary data, no one was killed.
In the Kyiv region, as a result of the night attack of drones, infrastructure facilities and private houses were damaged, previously two were injured, said the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba.
Recall that the air defense forces worked in the capital and in the Kyiv region at night. Earlier, it was reported about nine downed enemy drones.
