Today, December 16, in the evening, military personnel of the Chop detachment detained a group of criminals who were trying to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.
“During the patrol, the border detachment of the Palad Komarovtsi department noticed the movement of some people towards the state border. The border guards immediately started chasing the unknown and sent additional border detachments with search dogs in the specified area. As a result of the search, law enforcement officers found and detained four men. The four turned out to be residents of the eastern region of our country. In the course of further search activities, detained another man – a local resident – was detained by border guards,” the report said.
The offenders were taken to the border unit. In their actions, the border guards see the signs of an offense under Art. 204-1 “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine” CUAO. After clarifying all the circumstances, the case will be referred to the court.
