Minsk and Moscow are trying to build a single State Union on new principles so that no one is hurt, the politician stressed.
Other republics of the former USSR will also join the Union State of Belarus and Russia. This was announced on April 28 by Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Governor of the Voronezh Region of the Russian Federation Alexander Gusev.
The politician noted that he sees a tremendous interest in the development of cooperation with Belarus from the regions of Russia.
“Thank you, we have such cooperation and we are trying to build a single State of the Union on new principles so that no one is hurt, so that the sovereign independent states – Belarus and Russia – can prosper. I am sure that the other republics of the former The Soviet Union will join such a union, – Lukashenka emphasized.
According to him, industrial cooperation, as well as the construction and agricultural sectors, should be a key aspect of trade and economic relations between countries.
The politician assured that Belarusian businesses are ready to provide Russia with any equipment, especially in conditions of departure of Western companies from the country, and high-quality food.
Earlier, Lukashenka rejected the possibility of integrating Belarus into the Russian Federation and expressed confidence that the countries would build a unity of independent states.
