The ecological catastrophe was almost provoked by the Russian invaders in the Kherson region.
The invaders destroyed one of the largest poultry farms in the region and destroyed almost 4 million birds. So, in March 2022, as a result of the aggression of the Russian army, the power supply was damaged at one of the most modern and largest poultry farms, which is located in Chernobaevka. This was announced on December 11 by the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office.
That is why the employees of the enterprise were not able to feed the birds and maintain a sanitary regime. This led to the mass death of chickens, which by the time of the Russian invasion there were more than 4 million people at the factory.
Law enforcement officers found a burial place of a dead bird on the territory of a poultry farm – a pit with a depth of about 3 m and an area of 1,880 square meters. m. Part of the dead bird remained in the poultry houses. This could provoke bacterial contamination of a large area. Experts have already selected the necessary samples to determine the impact of Russian aggression on the environment.
Now prosecutors are exercising procedural guidance in criminal proceedings on the fact of the mass destruction of wildlife, which could lead to an environmental catastrophe, Art. 441 (ecocide) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Recall that as a result of the hostilities of Russian infidels on the Black Sea coast, dead dolphins were found in different places. It is difficult to determine the scale of the disaster, because due to hostilities, it is impossible to examine all areas along the sea.
