A strategic victory in the war with Russia is possible only if their ruling regime is changed, the Foreign Minister believes.
Politicians from other countries who say that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is allegedly “not their war” should not play “hypocritical games”, because it will lead to global consequences around the world. Therefore, a strategic victory is to ensure that the Russian state cannot threaten other countries. This is what Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said on Saturday, December 10, in a video speech at the World Policy Forum in Abu Dhabi, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
The official drew attention to the fact that Russia’s aggression has global implications for food and energy security, international peace and security.
“No country in the world wants a permanent member of the UN Security Council, a nuclear state, with the right to armed aggression and mass atrocities. If Russia gets away with it, everyone else wants to change the borders by force will be tempted to repeat it. People can say a hundred times “this is not our war”, but the fact is that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has global consequences,” the head of the Ukrainian department stressed .
The full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity within the 1991 borders is a prerequisite for success and cannot be negotiated, he added.
According to Kuleba, a strategic victory not only for Ukraine, but for the entire international community is Russia, which did not pose a threat to other countries.
He noted that this requires regime change, the Russians need to go through this change, but it can only happen from within. The international community can play an important role in creating the conditions for Russians to realize this need.
Recall that Kuleba previously said that “the world will not fall from the fact that Russia has fallen.” He believes that the world community should not be afraid of the fall of the aggressor country.
