Minsk is allegedly laying preconditions for the transit of Ukrainian grain, says Stefan Dujarric.
Belarus will allow, without preconditions, the movement of Ukrainian grain through its territory for further export from Lithuanian ports. This is what the press secretary of UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric said, Reuters reported on Saturday, December 10.
According to Dujarric, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yury Ambrazevich met on Friday in New York with the UN Secretary General António Guterres. During the talks, the Belarusian diplomat informed that his country “agrees to the transit of Ukrainian grain without preconditions.”
“Ambrazevich also reiterated his government’s demand to be able to export its own fertilizers, which are currently subject to sanctions,” Dujarric added.
It will be remembered that on December 8, three more ships with almost 80,000 tons of grain for Africa and Asia left Ukrainian ports under the grain agreement.
And on December 7, four more ships left Odessa ports with 149.3 thousand tons of agricultural products.
