Russian security forces detained a deserter who opened fire on police officers in the suburb of Novoshakhtinsk in the Rostov region the previous day and wounded one of the officers. This was announced by the Governor of the region Vasily Golubev on Telegram on Wednesday, December 7.
“The offender was detained. As a result of well-coordinated operational-search actions, he was found in an empty building near Novoshakhtinsk. Investigative actions are underway,” the report said.
