President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke on the phone with the head of the African Union and President of Senegal Macky Sall. This was announced by the Ukrainian leader in Twitter on Thursday, December 1st.
“I spoke on the phone with the head of the African Union, President of Senegal Macky Sall. We are summarizing the results of our ISFS summit, supported by the African Union. We discussed the further implementation of the Grain initiative from Ukraine and the possible participation of African countries in the implementation of the peace formula,” Zelensky wrote.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that African countries are changing their attitude towards Russia. Ukraine received record support in the UN General Assembly thanks to African states.
Recall that in October Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba made his first tour of African countries. According to him, it is possible to agree “on a number of specific things.”
