After the Russian strikes, power engineers learned to cope with difficult situations and use their technical creativity to connect different parts of the energy system, DTEK’s CEO said.
Russian terrorists have no chance to plunge Ukraine into darkness. This is what DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko said in his speech at the Kiev Security Forum.
“We are more than confident, especially after last week’s attack, that Russia has no chance of plunging Ukraine into darkness,” he said.
Timchenko said that no energy system in the world, as large as Ukraine’s, has experienced such damage as the Ukrainian energy system received last week.
According to him, after shelling in some regions, power engineers managed to restore electricity within a few hours, and in some – in a few days.
“We know how to deal with these difficult situations. We use our technical creativity to connect the different parts of the energy system,” summed up the head of DTEK.
It will be remembered that on November 23, the Russian Federation launched 70 missiles at Ukraine, of which 51 were shot down. As a result of the attack, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged. Some cities and regions were left without electricity, water and heating.
Before this, on November 15, the Russian Federation carried out a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, as a result of which energy infrastructure facilities were seriously damaged.
