Polish authorities have already confirmed their support for such a decision in possible negotiations at the NATO forum.
German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht promised to submit to the German government the proposal to deploy Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak in Twitter on Wednesday, November 30th.
The Polish minister said he had spoken with his German counterpart, where he was “again convinced” that the deployment of Patriot systems in Ukraine would increase the security of both Poland and Ukraine.
“Lambrecht said he will present this proposal to the government. I hope for approval. I expressed support for possible negotiations at the NATO forum,” Blaszczak wrote.
Recall that the recent downing of a missile on the territory of Poland forced NATO to take care of the best protection of the countries of the Alliance. Berlin offered Warsaw to strengthen its air defense systems with the Patriot air defense system. In response, Poland demanded that these complexes be transferred to Ukraine.
