Two photos that say a lot about the consequences of the Ukrainian war on different republics of the Russian Federation. The first is dated July 28 and shows 105 young people from Yakutia, in eastern Siberia. On that day, the head of the district, Aysen Nikolaev, came to meet them at the Yakutsk airport before leaving for the front. In the second shot, shot three months later at the same location on their way back, there are only thirteen of them, surviving the fighting against the Kiev forces. Officially, only eight deaths were recorded among this Yakut contingent. But it is clear that the casualties of the battles were much heavier.
