The Russian Federation is losing hundreds of conscripts and mercenaries every day in the war in Ukraine.
By the end of the year, the number of killed Russian invaders on the territory of Ukraine will reach 100,000 soldiers. This was announced on Tuesday, November 29, by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
“At the beginning of this year, Russia will lose a hundred thousand soldiers killed and only God knows how many mercenaries. And Ukraine will stand up. And the world will do everything so that everyone who is criminally guilty that this war will end at the docks,” the president said.
Speaking about the situation at the front, he noted that it remains difficult and despite Russia’s massive losses, the invaders are still trying to advance in the Donetsk region, gain a foothold in the Lugansk region, move into the region of Kharkiv, and planning in the southern direction.
“But we are maintaining the defense and, above all, we are not letting the enemy carry out their intentions. They said they will take the Donetsk region – in spring, summer, autumn. Winter is starting this week. They put their regular army there, they lost hundreds of mobilized and mercenaries, they use detachments there,” the president insisted.
As previously reported, ISW analysts believe that the occupiers see the prospect of a Ukrainian counter-offensive across the Dnieper River as a serious threat.
