Ukraine restores international rail communication with Slovakia. The route Mukachevo – Chop – Čierna nad Tisou – Kosice will connect a convenient Transcarpathian hub to one of the largest airports in Slovakia, Ukrzaliznytsia reported on Tuesday, November 29.
From December 11, trains will run daily:

No. 960/961 Kosice – Mukachevo. Departure from Kosice at 8:46, arrival in Mukachevo at 14:00. Return – from Mukachevo the train leaves at 14:48 and arrives in Kosice at 18:17;

No. 962/963 Kosice – Mukachevo departs from Kosice at 11:46 and arrives in Mukachevo at 16:53. Return – from Mukachevo the train leaves at 18:16 and arrives in Kosice at 21:33.
Train traffic will pass through the Chop station: in the direction of Mukachevo – at 12:00 and 14:51, in the direction of Kosice – at 16:13 and 19:26. This will allow passengers arriving in Chop from different parts of the country to transfer to trains from / to Kosice:

for those traveling in the direction of Kyiv, train No. 60 Chop – Kyiv (departs from Chop at 13:52, arriving in Kyiv at 7:44) and No. 81 Uzhgorod – Kyiv (departure from Chop at 16:58, arrival in Kyiv at 8:23);

for those following abroad, train No. 45/46 Kharkiv – Uzhgorod (via Kyiv) is suitable, departing from Kharkov at 13:43, from Kyiv at 23:15, and arriving in Chop at 14:18.
“Tickets priced from 363 hryvnias are already available at ticket offices of railway stations and directly on board trains. This flight will be the 13th international train service for Ukrainians, and the entire network with possible transfers can be seen here,” the message said.
Note that Ukrzaliznytsia has resumed the Intercity morning train from Kyiv to Lviv. It leaves the capital daily at 06:20 and arrives in Lviv by noon.
It is also reported that Ukrzaliznytsia is increasing the number of cars for the Victory Train to Kherson, as the demand for tickets in this direction is increasing.
