The Russian company, after receiving payment for supplies, decided to continue supplying gas to Moldova through Ukraine.
Gazprom continued to supply gas to Moldova after the payment. Last week, the Russian monopoly warned of cuts in supplies due to alleged unauthorized withdrawals of Ukrainian gas destined for Moldovagaz. The company’s press service announced this on its Telegram channel on Monday, November 28.
“Moldovagaz eliminated the violation of payment to Gazprom for current Russian gas supplies in November. Gazprom received funds for gas deposited on the territory of Ukraine, intended for consumers in Moldova. In the matter this, it was decided not to reduce the supply of gas to Sudzha GIS for transit to Moldova”, the message said.
Gazprom also said it has the right to reduce or completely stop gas supplies in the event of payment violations.
The Russian company previously said that Ukraine has accumulated 52.52 million cubic meters of gas destined for Moldova.
In response to this statement, the GTS operator of Ukraine responded that all gas accepted for further transportation to consumers in Moldova was transferred entirely to the exit points from Ukraine to Moldova, Alekseevka and Grebeniki.
This is confirmed by all the necessary documents signed with the relevant operators, one of which is Gazprom itself.
Recall that earlier the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu said that the “fixed” gas of Russia in Ukraine is the reserves of Moldova.
As is known, on November 22, Gazprom threatened to limit the transfer of gas to Europe through Ukraine. They ensure that the gas for Moldova supposedly “lives” on Ukrainian territory.
