The export of agricultural crops from Ukraine this year is planned with the help of rail transport.
Germany aims to ensure that Ukraine can continue to plant grain and deliver it to the world, despite military action. This was reported by Handelsblatt, citing government sources.
It noted that the federal government is planning a “grain bridge”.
The export of agricultural crops from Ukraine this year is planned with the help of rail transport-a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG for freight transportation, DB Cargo.
“As a representative of railway transport, I am determined that 20 million tons of grain can be shipped to prevent a global food disaster, famine,” said Michael Theurer, parliamentary state secretary at the German Ministry of Transport.
According to him, negotiations are underway with Ukrainian railways and European railways (in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania).
Coordination within the federal government is reportedly already underway to obtain funding.
Recall that British intelligence reported that the war between Russia and Ukraine will affect the growth of world grain prices, which could have serious consequences for markets.
