The ability to generate electricity and deliver it to consumers is increasing, but it is still not enough, so further shutdowns are possible.
President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Ukrainians to save electricity, warning that further blackouts at night are possible if consumption rises sharply. Zelensky said this in his evening video message on Saturday, November 26.
The President noted that power engineers are continuing to restore the system. There are more opportunities to generate electricity and deliver it to consumers.
In the morning, half as many subscribers experienced an outage as compared to yesterday. However, it is not yet possible to fully provide the citizens of Ukraine with energy supply.
“In 14 regions and in Kyiv, restrictions still remain for more than 100,000 subscribers in each of the regions. If consumption increases at night, the number of outages may increase,” said Zelensky, adding that this once again shows how important it is now to save energy and consume it rationally.
It will be remembered that today DTEK promised that the people of Kiev will turn off the power in no more than five hours.
